anyway. I thought I should update this thang, because it always makes me feel better. PLUS I KIND OF DISAPPEARED for a while there last year, eh?
2013- I finally started college at SCAD! It was a hella hard year for my personal drawings, thanks to the incessant amount of homework and projects and alcohol consumption. (kind of joking???) i did a lot of still lives and stuff like that. I got better at faces, but my art tended to be stagnant and I drew in my comfort zone and didn't really try anything too risky or new when it came to figures. I started to change up the fashion and the clothes I drew.
2014- the last 2/3 of my freshman year of college!! I learned SO much about figure drawing and anatomy and capturing action in a drawing. (i didn't exactly translate that last one into my character drawings so much, but eh.) I read a METRIC CRAP TON of webcomics, and began scripting and developing the characters for my very own webcomic. I began to play around with monster girls and "embracing ugly" haha. I have drawn more this summer than I think I have in a LoNG time, and I am attributing that to my decision to stop trying to impress people. I began drawing anthro art this summer, and I absolutely love it. I've needed an excuse to draw more animals, and I'm calling this new group of characters "roadkill" and I love drawing them. I've been trying a bunch of new digital coloring techniques. I also use a shitload of random markers and pens and pencils now in my sketchbook. I'm hoping to keep up my momentum into the end of this year and onto next year!!
